Jimmys Irish Coffee is breaking the mould in the art of drive through coffee being Ireland’s first purpose built speciality drive through coffee station. It started this year and now has two locations, the first one being in Swinford in Mayo – located on the Dublin Road, so long distance travellers can grab their coffee on the go very easily – and the second is located in the heart of Ballina town. It is a great spot in town to swing in and out of before you embark on or continue your journey. But let us tell you – this is an organised operation. As you queue up, the menu for the delicious pastries and cakes is very clearly on display on the building and also on a screen. You get this information early on so that there is no dilly-dallying at the counter. Another incredibly forward-thinking aspect of this drive through experience is that on the screen they will tell you the average queueing time at that particular moment. And finally, for the cherry on the top – the lovely baristas will hand out a delicious house-baked brownie bite on top of your coffee cup to send you on your way.
