This month we’re plotting a New York trip and making Royalton Park Avenue our base for the weekend. The location for our September Everything in Black and White fashion shoot, the Park Avenue meets Downtown vibe of this hotel is perfect if you want a classic New York hotel with a cool edge. The hotel has 249 rooms and suites, many with high ceilings and balconies and some of the suites include landscaped terraces and kitchens.
On the 20th floor, there are incredible skyline views and an up-close look at the Empire State building. Here you’ll find the sundeck and heated outdoor pool, alongside a bar with floor-to-ceiling windows and more stunning views. The Café at the rooftop serves great coffee, cold-pressed juices and cocktails. (There is also a great Italian restaurant). Exhale Mind & Body Spa offers a range of massages and therapies, as well as make-up and hair, to get ready for a New York night on the (black and white) tiles.
On October 27, The Royalton hosts a live music night, The Haunted Circus, from 10pm-4am. Royalton Park Avenue, 420 Park Avenue South, New York. Rates at Royalton Park Avenue, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, start from €158 per room per night; www.preferredhotels.com
