The Irish Country Home

Given the year we have had, I will be bringing Christmas to another level in our home this festive season. Along with warm candle light and festive décor, I will be incorporating my luxurious Christmas bouquets into the mix. The inspiration behind them came from the rich tones of winter berries and wonderful wine and violet garden roses. These are surrounded by winter white Veronica spray and seasonal Eucalyptus. Our surroundings determine our mood, and I believe the more we put into them, the more we will get out. @theirishcountryhome

I live in an end of terrace house in Derry, built around 1910, with my husband and three children. I am making homemade spiced pear and ginger cocktails for the weekend. I love sitting on my hygge-style rattan chair in front of the stove with a book and a fresh coffee, watching the fir trees at the end of the garden sway in the wind. @studio_flaneuse

It’s getting Christmassy here! I love making this wreath and hope mine survives the winter with bad weather and frost. I got great wreath hack ideas from @twigandberries_. I love using silver dollar eucalyptus and nobilis fir. Christmas means cosy fires, burlap bows, homemade sloe gin and lots and lots of candles. @emmastone.01
