There’s A New Terrace In Town

The Piazza on Earlsfort Terrace is arguably Dublin’s best outdoor space providing a safe haven, plenty of cosy nooks and a tasty menu, all day, everyday …

Whether you want a quiet place to read the paper with an artisanal coffee, a sheltered spot to meet family for a casual lunch. or fancy something sweet for an afternoon cuppa, pop into the Terrace Kitchen and Social House at Conrad Dublin.

It’s part of the impressive new piazza at Conrad Dublin which has been redesigned by landscape architect Robert Townshend. Comprising four symmetrical gardens with a reflection pool in the centre and amphitheatre-style seating, this is a tranquil oasis in the centre of Dublin 2 just off St Stephen’s Green. The concept for the space was to create a local venue inspired by nature and simple design.

Open seven days a week from breakfast to brunch, and from afternoon tea to dinner, the vibe is informal, though there are lots of elegant additions in keeping with Conrad Dublin’s refined aesthetic. Sleek marble tables, soft leather chairs, and chic champagne house Henriot’s branded umbrellas provide shade for sunny days. It’s an amazing spot to enjoy the views of the gardens and sip a glass of champagne, while watching the world pass by.

Chef Gary Rogers has created a menu which is simple and seasonal, serving bistro classics. Firm favourites are the fritto misto and his take on the traditional club sandwich – served on homemade sourdough with buttermilk chicken.
