The Opticians To Visit In Dublin For Fashionable Frames

Looking for a new pair of FASHIONABLE FRAMES? These opticians get 20/20 from us …

Ace & Tate Copenhagen store

Ace & Tate

Just opened on Dublin’s Exchequer Street, Dutch eyewear brand Ace & Tate offer both sunglasses and prescription glasses at a standard price of €98. We love their on-trend styles – think this summer’s trends for coloured lenses, wire frames and angular shapes. All of their glasses are designed by their in-house team in Amsterdam. At that price, it’s acceptable to pick up both a pair of prescription glasses and sunglasses – and trust us, you won’t find it hard with their large selection of cool frames.

Optica is a longstanding favourite of THE GLOSS, it’s one of our favourite boutiques in town to visit for a browse. Stocking both luxury brands like Chanel and Prada as well as independent designers from around the world, Optica offer glasses to suit a range of styles. Their own brand Wolfhound Eyewear is designed by Optica in Ireland, handmade in Italy and sold exclusively at their Dawson Street location, this is the place to visit for a pair of frames that come with both style and substance.

Tortoiseshell glasses, €129, Specsavers Collection

And if you always find it hard to find the right frames to suit your face, Specsavers have launched a new ‘Frame Styler’ initiative with in-store technology that’s designed to help you find the perfect pair of frames for your face shape. Using facial analysis to scan your face shape and features, it identifies styles and colours from Specsavers ranges that would look good on you, and allows you to virtually try them on to find a style that suits you perfectly without physically having to try on endless pairs! We’re eyeing up a pair from the new Specsavers Collection launching in stores Wednesday September 5.
