What to Wear For Christmas: Festive Frocks

One upside to a downsized festive season is the opportunity to wear exactly what you fancy … Have fun, says AISLINN COFFEY …

Top of our Christmas list this year is the colourful, softly tailored midi dress, easily the most sophisticated but easy-to-wear dress trend for years. This length really is the happy medium, suiting most beautifully. In cool patterns, pretty print, or this season’s party red, they can be worn without tights, dressed up with a pair of butter-soft leather boots, or colourful, embellished, statement-making shoes. Style with a fine-gauge polo-neck sweater underneath for day, throw an oversized sweater over it, or, for evening, add knockout earrings and sparkly hair accessories.
