Brand New Imagery Shows What The Immersive Van Gogh Experience is Dublin Will Be Like

Van Gogh Dublin will be at the RDS from May 16-August 4 and tickets are live now …

Over the past number of years, immersive Van Gogh experiences having been making their way around the world, from Tokyo to London, New York to Berlin, and finally, an exhibition is coming to Dublin. The idea behind these immersive exhibitions is that visitors step into the paintings of the artist, as the spaces include 360° projections on incredible 15,000ft screens and virtual reality elements.

You may even have spotted a Van Gogh immersive exhibition in season one of Emily in Paris, when Emily gets stuck on a double date with Camille and Gabriel, marking the beginning of their complicated love triangle.

Taking over the Shelbourne Hall at the RDS from May 16-August 4, Van Gogh Dublin will feature two-storey projections of the artist’s most recognisable works, including Sunflowers, Starry Night and an impactful self-portrait. Dublin-based company Theatre of Light have come together with creative studio Nohlab to produce this exhibition, which promises to wow visitors this summer.

The journey through the exhibition will be centred around unique audio-visual storytelling which totally immerses the visitor, submerging them in the tragic and fascinating life of the 19th-century artist and putting them up close and personal with some of his most powerful paintings. We reckon tickets will sell fast for this one, so book yours soon if you’d like to see the Van Gogh immersive exhibition in real life instead of all over your Instagram feed this summer …

Tickets are available now at vangoghdublin.com from €23.
