This Seasonal Showcase at Havana Celebrates the Best of Irish Design and Craft

Celebrating the best of Irish design and craft, the pop-up launches today, November 4, and runs for two weeks …

Founder of Donnybrook style destination Havana, Nikki Creedon is long-known for championing edgy and innovative design. In the last few years alone, Havana has pioneered an edgy yet obtainable aesthetic via its stable of noted designers including Danish fashion designer Cecilie Bahnsen and our own Simone Rocha.

The boutique’s new pop-up, which kicks off today, is no exception to that rule.

The showcase celebrates the best of Irish design and craft – with some luxury touches that would be perfect for festive gifting.

Introducing some homewares, there will be a pop-up by Connemara Carpets and pottery from Fermoyle Pottery, as well as an edit of coffee-table books by Assouline and Rizzoli. Dublin-based florist Appassionata will be on hand providing lush, seasonal greens to kick-start that festive feeling.

Above, rugs by Connemara carpets will be available at the showcase.

There will be newness care of some designers already stocked in store, too. Darling of the knitwear scene Colin Burke will feature, alongside Sarah Murphy and The Landskein (who specialise in Irish tweeds); all of whom have created new, exclusive pieces for the showcase. Those in search of a forever piece should look to knitwear from brands like Sphere One, Avant Toi, Sian Jacobs, Castanea and Hache.

There will be a debut from new Irish womenswear label Geito. Designed by Gwen McNulty, it’s inspired not by the classic Japanese kimono but the garments layered below and the idea of “the secret that lies beneath”.

New label to the boutique Geito, designed by Gwen McNulty, uses vintage and end-of-roll fabrics.

The finishing touch is as important as always: Simone Rocha jewellery will spark joy as well as luxe fragrances from Stories, Scopoli and Timothy Han.

The showcase will run from Thursday November 4 for two weeks.

Catch the pop-up at Havana, 2 Angelsea House, Donnybrook Road, Dublin 4; visit Havanaboutique.ie for further info.
