It seems every week another fashion brand we love verges into homewares (see the Vampire’s Wife launch a few week’s ago). Not that we’re complaining. In fact, as crossovers go, the new range from Shrimps is up there with the best. Mainly because it’s got all the hallmarks of the fashion range – handknitted pieces which use the same techniques as the brand’s clothing line, bobbles, jaunty colours and just the right amount of countryside kitsch. 

For now, the range is quite micro – it focuses on blankets and a hot water bottle – but the signature Shrimps looks is palpable. It’s difficult not to imagine one of these rose-embellished blankets taking pride of place in our living room.

The Vita blanket, €540, is handknitted and made from merino wool.

The Uva blanket, €540, is a wool blend that features a grape motif.

Keep warm in style with the hazelnut-coloured Maria hot water bottle, €105. 

The limited edition collection also includes an offshoot – Baby Shrimps, a darling collection of baby accessories. There’s a merino wool blanket, a handknitted baby cardigan and a cute-as bonnet, to match.
