Marks & Spencer Launches New Curve Collection

The EDITED COLLECTION of womenswear features clothing SPECIALLY DESIGNED for sizes 18-32 …

British high street retailer Marks & Spencer has just launched an edited collection of womenswear pieces specially designed for sizes 18-32. Featuring over 100 pieces, the Curve collection includes wardrobe basics like the classic trench coat, flattering wrap dresses, high-waisted jeans and more, all in a fashion-forward approach for the modern plus-size woman who is interested in trend-led shopping.

To coincide with the release of the Curve collection, Marks & Spencer invited British fashion blogger Danielle Vanier to design two dresses alongside the design team. Speaking about the launch of Curve, Vanier said, “I wanted to stress that there’s a younger customer out there who might be interested in buying more exciting, trend-focused pieces.” 30-year-old Vanier, who has over 94,000 followers on Instagram, is excited about the collection and what it will mean going forward for the plus-size shopper.

While Marks & Spencer’s main womenswear line already runs up to a size 24, this collection has been designed with a plus-size woman in mind, making subtle tweaks and alterations to better suit their shape, such as secret stretch panels in jacket sleeves to make the pieces more comfortable for the wearer. Speaking at the launch, buying director of Marks & Spencer Jo Hales said, “What’s really great now is that, as we are embracing different body shapes in fashion, and embracing new role models, women are feeling more confident about embracing their curves. Now they just need the clothes to match.”
