The French icon of chic and former model wears many chapeaux – she is creative consultant for Roger Vivier, designs a collection for Uniqlo and has her own brand and boutique. In addition, she has a new book launching this month. She describes Parisian Chic Encore, like “having a friend who really knows Paris well and can help you find the best restaurants and brands as well as providing tips for capturing Parisian style.” Sounds like the perfect Little Black Book.
Favourite black things Black belts, they can totally transform a look. Favourite white things White jeans, more sophisticated than denim, you can wear them day or night, in every season, worldwide. They love diamonds or sneakers! How to wear black In winter, mix it with navy blue, wear it in summer with brown leather sandals. How to wear white Wear it wrinkled, especially for cotton and linen clothes; they’ll look like they come from a great Japanese brand. Career joy As a model, it was at a Thierry Mugler show; girls wore the same suit in different colours, I was the only one arriving at the end with the same suit in black and in a halo of light: triumph guaranteed! As a designer, when I had six windows at Sak’s Fifth Avenue for my collection. I don’t worry about Work, because I know stress and worries are not useful. There are problems, that’s why it’s called “work”, if not it would be a hobby. Personal joys Learning that an appointment has been cancelled; eating sweet and salty popcorn from Marks & Spencer in bed. But, above all, taking time to realise I am happy. It takes a lifetime to learn that.
