The internet has been in somewhat of a tailspin since images of filmmaker Nancy Meyers’ Los Angeles home surfaced over the weekend in Architectural Digest (also see editor-in-chief Amy Astley’s Instagram post here). And, while we had an inkling of what it would look like – Spanish influenced, laid-back, simple, airy and bright – it made us no less excited to get an insight into the hallowed walls of the creative genius behind some of our best-loved films. The writer, director and producer is the creative force behind It’s Complicated, Something’s Gotta Give and The Holiday, films that are populated with A-list stars like Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. Although, the interiors of each film are bona fide characters that arguably steal every scene. See: the current TikTok craze coastal grandmother – a lifestyle aesthetic inspired by Meyers’ films that has become catnip for Gen Z.
