For her latest collection, Irish designer CATRIONA HANLY has given heritage tweeds a COUTURE MAKEOVER … Here’s a taste of her latest designs, worn by VOGUE WILLIAMS

Inspired by great 20th century estates, Catriona Hanly’s latest collection is a structured, powerful reimagining of heritage tweeds, using an explosion of both dark colours and pastels.
Embracing what she sees as a recent renaissance for the fabric, Catriona is passionate about tweed, designing signature collars and cuffs which have been spotted in her previous collections.
Featuring velvet lapels and luxurious faux fur detailing and decorative buttons, the collection adds aristocratic elegance to classic tailored jackets and structured dresses that echoes the lavish parties and sporting events of the era that inspired her.

The edginess of Catriona’s previous collections is present in her inclusion of bright colours, bold material pairings and contrasting patterns, with remixes of petrol blues, emerald greens and shocks of deep purple which electrify the designs.
Dresses are feminine and are designed to be worn with buttery soft leather gloves and attachable faux fur collars.

Catriona Hanly’s collections are available from the Design Centre in Dublin, Kalu in Naas, Co Kildare, Olori Boutique in Cork and select boutiques nationwide and at www.catrionahanly.com.
