The Hotel With An Outdoor Thermal Spa You Need To Visit

Make GALGORM RESORT AND SPA your next Irish STAYCATION

There’s something quite special about waking up to the sound of running water and the breeze, whether it’s waves lapping at the shore of some sunny beach or a river proudly running its course, pushing briskly through to make its way to the sea. This is the peaceful wake-up call you will experience at Galgorm Resort and Spa. Located outside Ballymena in Co Antrim, this little oasis is tucked away beside the River Maine with acres of green surrounding it.

The first port of call when visiting Galgorm is to make time for the very impressive outdoor thermal spa. Arrive as early as possible on check-in day, and wake up before breakfast on check-out to make the most of the facilities. We highly recommend booking the private outdoor hot tub experience (£80stg per hour, includes champagne and chocolates) or choose from one of the many treatments on offer in the award-winning spa.

Afterwards take a walk around the thermal spa, dip in to the steam room, the orangery and the outdoor jacuzzis, or practise laps in the 20-metre pool. Take a break on the heated tile beds or shock your senses in the Snow Cabin (-7 to -15 degrees Celsius at all times!). Experience the unique Snail Shower, where you’ll feel like you are anywhere but Ireland! And book in for a class in the River House where they host regular yoga classes, finishing your day off with a cocktail in Elements, the spa bar with outdoor terrace.

Dining options are aplenty with the River Room, where menus change daily and head chef Chris Rees and his team use local, seasonal ingredients, Gillies Bar & Grill and Fratelli’s Italian restaurant. Galgorm also plays host to Ireland’s largest gin bar stocking over 300 different types of gin.

At just two and a half hours drive from Dublin we would definitely recommend a visit to Galgorm, it makes for the perfect relaxing spa weekend and with their autumn specials, now is the time to book…

The Autumn Escape package includes an overnight stay in a standard room, use of the Thermal Village, 3 course meal in either Gillies or Fratelli’s Italian restaurant with a bottle of wine, and a full Irish breakfast. From £105 per person sharing. Valid Monday to Thursday, September – November 2017.
