GLOVERS ALLEY by ANDY McFADDEN opened just last week in the FITZWILLIAM HOTEL and the interiors alone make us want to book in immediately. See all the guests who attended the launch in the gallery below …
There’s been a certain buzz in the Dublin foodie scene over the past year or two with exciting new restaurant openings bringing a cosmopolitan and current feel to the capital once again, with restaurants to rival London’s and New York’s opening up. Glovers Alley, a new restaurant at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, being the most recent.
After year-long renovations, the space, previously home to Thornton’s, has been transformed into a sophisticated venue with soft pink velvet furnishings, marble tabletops, gold pendant light fixtures and a mirrored ceiling. The team at Glovers Alley will be led by Michelin-star executive chef Andy McFadden, who has returned to Dublin after eleven years in London to launch this new venture. Joining McFadden in the kitchen will be Philip Roe as head chef and Aoife Noonan (previously of Patrick Guilbaud and Luna) as executive pastry chef. With a French-influenced menu typical of McFadden’s style, there will be both á la carte options and tasting menus.
The exclusive launch of Glovers Alley took place last week where guests were treated to the first taste of Andy McFadden’s culinary delights.
