With three collections and experience working for DIANE VON FURSTENBURG to boot, CIARA SILKE‘s scarf collection is on its way to LES JUMELLES, Galway. Join her there for a night of PATTERN AND PROSECCO on November 21 …
Could anyone have a more appropriate name than Ciara Silke? This NCAD grad has an eye for beautiful prints – and has just launched her third eponymous scarf collection.
Having previously worked in New York with Diane von Furstenberg, Silke is now home on our west coast – and producing some seriously beautiful work under her own name.
Bold, colourful and graphic, her collections are designed in Galway; the soft, light silk comes from Italy.
She is passionate about every aspect of her work – having studied textiles, the quality and finish of the fabric is imperative. Substantial size makes the scarves versatile – I like to wear mine draped and belted over a long cashmere cardigan.
On November 21, she will host a pop-up in Les Jumelles, Galway. There will be prosecco and a chance to have a consultation with Ciara – (no doubt she has a few tips around the perfect way to wear her creations).
The pop up is open to everyone, at the brilliant Church Lane boutique known for its selection of coveted pieces by Acne, 3.1 Philip Lim and Carven.
Perfect company for these fine scarves – and with attention to detail meticulous, right down to the gorgeous boxes, they would make a stunning gift for someone this season.
