Galway fashion designer Ciara Silke creates luxury silk twill and cashmere scarves. Having received her degree in printed textile design at the National College of Art and Design, Ciara went on to hone her talent at luxury brand Diane Von Furstenberg in New York, before returning to the west coast of Ireland and launching her eponymous label (fitting, given how appropriate her name is for the brand…) in 2013. Her hand designed pieces are a lovely mix of bold colours paired with graphic floral prints, and we think they’d make a beautiful gift this Christmas – the ultimate little luxury.
Conor Holden uses the finest materials to create his classic, contemporary collection of bags and small leather goods. Since 1989 he has been designing and crafting luxury leather goods at his Holden Leather workshop on the shores of Dingle harbour in Co Kerry. This leather passport holder would make the perfect stocking filler for the globetrotter in your life.
Mary Callan launched her knitwear label CALLAN just last year from her studio in Belfast. After studying fashion knitwear at Central Saint Martins in London, she developed a love of textiles and created her label as an attempt to bring together the age-old craft of handknitting with contemporary fashion-led designs. With a focus on small runs of intricate knitwear, Callan’s pieces are all hand loomed by a team of Irish makers using merino and lambswool. We’re adding the chequerboard jacquard scarf to our Christmas list.
