Celebrate AUDREY HEPBURN‘s birthday in style with a visit to the new exhibition at NEWBRIDGE SILVERWARE‘s Museum of Style Icons …
Today would have been Audrey Hepburn’s 89th birthday and fittingly, Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons is launching a new exhibition in her honour. “Audrey, A Tribute to Givenchy” tells the story of Hepburn and her relationship with couturier Hubert de Givenchy. Audrey once remarked, “Givenchy’s clothes are the only ones I feel myself in. He is more than a designer, he is a creator of personality.” The pair were so close that the actress had a clause written into her contract that only Givenchy could dress her for her movies.
The exhibition features six items created by Givenchy for films such as Charade and Funny Face along with details and images from the meeting of William Doyle, CEO of Newbridge Silverware, and Hubert de Givenchy in November 2016. A highlight of the display is an alternative design created by Givenchy in 2016 especially for the museum.
Need to know: “Audrey, A Tribute to Givenchy” opens today at the Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge. Adult admission: €7, Seniors and Students: €5. To purchase tickets in advance, visit www.newbridgesilverware.com.
