L.H.O.O.Q, Duchamp, 1919

In London, a joint exhibition of Dali and Duchamp’s works will be on display at the Royal Academy of Arts. An Aran jumper has made the journey to New York this month to feature in MOMA’s fashion exhibition, Items: Is Fashion Modern? It includes 111 examples of clothing and accessories which have made an impact on the world. Flying the flag for Irish craft is a 1940’s Aran jumper on loan from the National Museum of Ireland. Our favourite Aran knits now? We look to &Daughter, a brand launched by Buffy Reid and her father Columba. All of their knitwear is manufactured in Donegal and Scotland by artisan makers, with over 20 separate hand-finishing processes to create each piece, making them really special, quality pieces to treasure. Who knows, yours could some day feature in a fashion exhibition too …
