Beauty Diary: 5 Beauty Spots You Need To Know Now

The NEW BEAUTY ARRIVALS that should be ON YOUR RADAR this week  …

FOR NAILS

1 Manicure while you shop? A new OSLO Nail Bar has opened at Arnotts, with colours by Essie and CND. Try the two-week gel polish. OSLO’s arrival completes a full range of beauty treatments on offer in store, from brows and lash extensions to facials. www.oslobeauty.ie.

FOR HAIR

2 Alan Keville hair salon has moved from South Anne Street over to a big airy light space at the top of Powerscourt Townhouse. The team are always friendly and welcoming, as well as highly experienced and with lots of awards behind them. Blowdries from €30, cuts from €65. Alan Keville also has salons in Naas and Wexford. www.kevillehair.com.

3 And there’s good news for anyone concerned about the amount of chemicals in hair dyes: natural and organic hair colour range Natulique has launched in Davey Davey salon in Dublin. This is a Danish brand that is entirely organic, with Ecocert certification, and is cruelty free, with a focus on being cleaner and less toxic – a rare find in the area of hair dyes and colourants. Davey Davey, 24 Stephen Street Lower, Dublin 2; www.daveydavey.com.

FOR BEAUTY

4 In fact, if you are remotely interested in beauty, you have to visit Arnotts at the moment – there are brilliant brands arriving thick and fast. We’ve already raved about Tata Harper skincare (we’re using the Resurfacing Serum at the moment and it is brilliant), but also landed is Hourglass Cosmetics – try the powder with double-ended brush, and the divinely glamorous refillable lipsticks – as well as Nars (get your hands on the new Climax mascara, €25), iT Cosmetics (a huge seller in the US with lots of affordable daily staples) and Urban Decay. www.arnotts.ie.

FOR FEET

5 Rescue your summer-worn feet with a deluxe pedicure at Skinfull Affairs on Exchequer Street. We genuinely love this place for its excellent treatments (we are big fans of therapist Karen) and focus on cruelty-free, vegan and organic beauty. The new deluxe pedi is pricey (€85), but it’s 75 minutes long and involves everything from Himalayan mineral crystals to a food massage. It would make the most welcome gift as we step into autumn. www.skinfullaffairs.ie.
