Jewellery editor NATASHA SHERLING is lusting after a MESMERISING AQUAMARINE RING …
Need something to cleanse the palette? We can’t help but be blown away by this ring, recently spied at London antique jewellery mecca SJ Phillips. It is carved from one single piece of aquamarine and weighs 88.29 carats – the icy blue glow it emits is truly breathtaking and a feat of craftsmanship! With a rectangular top and bevelled edges, the daring jewel nods to the exceptional designer Suzanne Belperron, although it could never be completely attributed to her as she was renowned for never signing her pieces, instead choosing to allow the work to speak for itself. Regardless of the maker, this antique piece feels so contemporary; a beautiful way to wear a fabulous stone (that also happens to be March’s birthstone, for those compiling gift lists). See it in person in London; alternatively SJ Phillips will also be bringing it with them next week to Maastricht’s TEFAF, for those lucky enough to be attending.
