BRAVE the crowds for the official state commemoration of the 1916 Rising at the GPO on Sunday, March 27. President Michael D Higgins will lay a wreath at 12 noon, followed by a minute’s silence, the playing of the National Anthem and an Air Corps flypast. Using public transport is advised.

SLIP down the rabbit hole at Dlr County Council’s annual Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Deerpark, Mount Merrion on Sunday, March 27. Featuring giant chess, croquet, a teacups ride and the opportunity to craft a mad hat, as well as an Easter egg hunt, a good time for all is virtually guaranteed. From 1pm-5pm, admission is free.

INDULGE in the best of Irish art at the RHA’s 186th Annual Exhibition, from March 22 to June 11, featuring sculpture, painting, photography, print, drawing and architectural models.
