Meet fashion influencers-cum-designers GILDA AMBROSIO and GIORGIA TORDINI, whose new label ATTICO is the epitome of modern opulence …
Our designs: “We try to create things that we would actually always wear. Of course, we are a bit sensitive to seasonal trends, but everything we design must be versatile and timeless, despite what’s in vogue at the moment. Our pieces have a vintage look: the handmade embroideries and prints are designed by us, and there is a lot of research behind them. Over time, the kimono has become our signature piece. It’s chic, feminine and most importantly very versatile: you can wear it as a dress but also as a throw-on piece over a pair of good denim jeans. We try to propose it each season in a different way.”
The summer collection: “The theme is exotic erotic; we travelled to tropical destinations to have some fun. The subjects for the collection are parrots, fish and corals, shells, lobsters and palms – to take you away on vacation all year long.”
Giorgia Tordini (above) “I don’t wear a lot of colour except in summer.”
Gilda Ambrosio (below) “Italian women always have blow dried hair and perfect nails, even on a busy day.”
