Tickets are now ON SALE for this year’s BALLYMALOE LITFEST, but you better act fast as some EVENTS have sold out already …
The Ballymaloe LitFest returns this year for it’s fifth annual festival taking place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of May. A weekend filled with fascinating facts, incredible demonstrations from some of the world’s top food and drink experts, and a wide range of speakers brimming with inspiring stories all held in the beautiful surroundings of Ballymaloe House. All of the events over this exciting weekend are now confirmed, scheduled and available to book.
Some highlights will include an interview with Brian McGinn, director of the Emmy-winning Netflix documentary, Chef’s Table, and a pop-up lunch cooked by British chef and cookery writer Margot Henderson. The Gloss Magazine’s Mary Dowey will be on hand to talk about some superb champagnes and sparkling wines from family-owned estates, while food writer Trish Deseine will also be present to give a talk on keeping it real in the food world and share her unique perspective on Irish food culture.
Other notable speakers include Severine Von Tscharner-Fleming from grassroots organisation Greenhorns in New York, who will be discussing her work with the Young Farmer’s Coalition, FarmHack and the Agrarian Trust. There will also be a cooking demonstration by Monika Linton of Brindisa, hosted by Rachel Allen, which will be a fantastic opportunity to hear the remarkable story of how one woman’s passion for Spanish cuisine and Iberian food culture has led to the creation of six busy Spanish restaurants in London and Barcelona and a thriving import, wholesale and retail business.
