Each season, TOM FORD BEAUTY never fails to impress. Here’s a taste of just some of the GORGEOUS NEW BEAUTY PRODUCTS you can expect this season …
Since its launch in 2011, Tom Ford Beauty has retained a heady position as luxury leader: it’s the beauty counter to head for when you want the ultimate treat. Just one matte lipstick, or a shiny chocolate and gold eye palette, adds an undeniable touch of glamour to any beauty collection.
We’ve been trying the Patent Finish Lip Colours (€48, available now at Brown Thomas), and the more we try, the more obsessed we become. Tom Ford have patented the click-pen, sponge-topped applicator, which is brilliantly neat and easy. The best thing is that the pigments last on your lips, so you’re never left gloss-less.
You can dab on a stain of colour for a flattering natural look, or go full-vamp with the glossiest, shiniest finish you can imagine – this is the ultimate day-to-night formula. The shades so far are in the red and berry spectrum – super-sexy Red Corset is a bestseller – but we’re very hopeful that some paler nude shades will join the line-up before too long.
Meanwhile, we’re saving dark Orchid Fatale for autumn – that rich glossy blackcurrant stole the show at every AW16 catwalk. More immediately, we’ve seen a preview of the upcoming Soleil Collection, and it’s making us count down the days until it arrives in store (limited edition, from May).
“You want to keep any bronze tones clear and bright, so skin looks fresh with a golden glow,” says Tom Ford UK education manager Lori Woodhouse. So stock up on Skin Illuminator in Fire Lust while you can – it’s a highlighter that sells out each time it hits the counter, because it’s so brilliant at giving your skin a natural peachy radiance. There are also some versatile lip and cheek palettes (above).
Finally, the new range of moisture core lipsticks is perfect for summer, with six easy to wear sheer colours joining the permanent collection – the coral shade is a summer saviour. Finish with a spritz of Soleil Blanc eau de parfum, which captures the smell of sun-warmed skin and holidays in a (chic white) bottle. Ever aspirational, yet long-lasting, this collection will take you through a most glamorous summer, and beyond.
